Get Fit Through Gardening Versus Traditional Sports

Traditional Sports

Get Fit Through Gardening

1) Organized Teams No need for teams but can be individual or group activity
2) Bigger is better (basketball, football, baseball) Small is just fine
3) Faster is better Exercise where slower (and focused) is just as good
4) Stronger is better No benefit, however Get Fit Through Gardening with resistance training can increase your strength
5) Coordination is essential An exercise program where coordination is not essential
6) Specific Rules of Play Make up your own rules. Free form style.
7) Competitive - Winners and Losers  Everyone wins; everyone benefits (even small benefits add up)
8) Tradional Way of thinking New Way of thinking (about health and fitness)
9) Exclusionary Anyone can participate regardless of age, size, strength, or physical ability
10) Players and Spectators Everyone should be a player. Don't be a couch potatoes - Grow potatoes! Get off the couch (or away from your computer) and get dirty, sweaty and experience real reality.
