The process is simple:



  1. Select the course you want from our Online
    Storefront
    .


  2. Order the product. You can make payment by Credit Card, Check or Paypal.


  3. You will shortly receive a link for the course which you will need to save to
    your Browser.

  4. Register your User ID and password for the course.

  5. Begin the course.

  6. If you need CEU credits, submit the exam(s) at the end of the modules.

  7. The certificate will be E-mailed to you, usually with 2 - 3 hours.

  8. Never wait more than 24 hours before contacting us if you have not
    received a reply.

How long can I access online modules?

You will have access for 180 days. The actual time to complete the module should be stated in the course description. Generally, for CEU courses, each CEU is one hour of study time.

Yes, you can purchase an additional 6 month extension for only about 15-25% of the original purchase price.

What happens after I purchase an online module?

You will receive instructions for setting up your User ID and password as well as a link for the course. Please click on the link and then save it to your browser (MS Explorer Ė Favorites). The URL is long and not meant to be keyed-in.



All purchases are answered promptly, most within an hour. On occasion it can take 24 hours for a reply. The main reason students donít receive information is due to security or Spam filters on your computer or organization network. Be sure to check your Spam folder, your Bulk Mail folder, or you network security administrator. Be sure that emails are not blocked from ritecode.com


If you have not received your sample exam within 36 hours (Monday through Friday) either E-mail us at ritecode@ritecode.com (preferred) or call Ritecode.com at 901-517-1705.

How does one access the online coding and billing modules?

After you receive your link to the module and your User ID is approved, access them via any Internet browser and Internet connection. All online courses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Recommended browser is Microsoft Explorer 6.0 or higher. You will be sent a link to the course or module via E-mail usually within 24 hours during business hours.


There is no link on the Ritecode.com home page to the online coding courses.

Can I print lessons?

Yes, you can print any lesson, Operative Report or Test you wish.

I'm a hospital Inpatient Coder. What courses should I take?

The inpatient Module covers DRG's, facility (UB-04 Form) coding, APC's and other inpatient-related topics.


For inpatient coding and billing, the CPC-H and the CCS exam, I recommend ordering both the sample CPC-H exam and the Inpatient Billing and coding module.

However, you must know ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS coding before you study hospital, inpatient coding.

Our Prep course prepares you for the CPC or CSS-P coding exam. It covers ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS for physician coding (CMS-1500 Form).

Can I ask questions?

Yes. Most questions are sent and answered by E-mail. We try to get back with you promptly, usually within a few hours.

Always be very specific as to the location of the question. For example, you would need to state that the module is HIPAA Exam, test 2, question 9.

How do I get started with an online module?

Getting Started is a Simple, Three-Step Process. During normal, working hours (Monday through Friday 8 - 5) you can be set up in about thirty-minutes.


If the product is online, Register your own User ID and Password at this link. This form does NOT bill you.
If the product is a Sample exam or Operative Reports (hardcopy), it will be sent to you via Email. Most are sent either in MS Word or .rtf format. This is very fast and efficient. We can send it regular mail for a Postage and Handling fee of $10 which you can add to the Price. You don't need a User ID or password for documents that are sent to you.

If you wish to pay by Credit Card or Paypal go to the Credit Card Order Form.


If you wish to pay by Check make the check payable to: Ritecode and mail to the address at the bottom of the page. If you are sending a check, please email us when you send it and again, three days later, to confirm if we've received it.


You cannot access the online module until your ID and password are approved. We approve you after we have received payment.


Once payment is received, we will authorize your ID and password and send you the link (location) of the course. There is no link on www.ritecode.com directly to the course.

It's been two weeks and I have not heard anything from you.

Most E-mails are answered with minutes or hours during normal business hours. We are online all day. If more than two-days has passed, we have sent the information, and for any number of reasons, it was lost in cyberspace or your Spam filter.

We assume you received the log-in instructions or sample exam. There is no way for us to know you did not receive it.

Always contact us, first by E-mail, then by phone, if you have not received your product with two days.
