|What is the history of Ritecode.com?|
The staff at Ritecode.com has been training coders since 1992 under a variety of business names. For the first ten years, our trainers traveled extensively throughout the United States conducting live seminars. The average price of a one-day seminar is about $215 and seminars are extremely time-consuming and labor intensive to produce.
In 1999, after we slowed down our travel schedule, we decided to transfer all our live seminars to the Internet. After about a year of development, Ritecode.com went online in December 1999.
Since 1999, we have expanded our offerings from a handful of products to over one-hundred (100). We now have sample coding exams (150,100 and 25 questions each), sample Operative Reports, Specialty Coding modules (OB/GYN, Orthopedics, ENT) and Coding Association CEU-approved online courses.
Our goal is to offer twice the product at half the price of a typical public seminar.

Are certified coders on the Ritecode.com staff?
The owner, Jeffrey Restuccio, is both a current CPC and a CPC-H. Jeff has well over fifteen years of experience as a healthcare consultant as well as training coders.
He has personally developed, in conjunction with a small staff of certified coders, all of the coding and billing modules currently offered on Ritecode.com.
Ritecode.com maintains a database of well over 2,000 multiple-choice questions on coding, outpatient billing, inpatient billing and HIPAA questions.
Are you hiring coders / auditors?
While Ritecode.com is not hiring at the present time, from time to time we use remote coders for audits or other tasks.
If you're an experienced auditor or instructor please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Why doesn’t Ritecode.com advertise more?
Advertising is very expensive and we would have to raise the prices of our lessons if we advertised in major coding publications. Most of our business is obtained via word-of-mouth. Ritecode.com has done some Internet marketing and we’re found on most Internet search engines. Please tell your friends about Ritecode.com. Word of Mouth advertising helps keep Ritecode.com costs and our price per online module low.
